Directions
From Cle Elum, drive north on Highway 903 (Salmon La Sac Rd) past Cle Elum Lake to Forest Service Road 46 (Approx. 1.5 miles past Red Mountain Campground). Follow Road 46 until reaching Road 4616 and Cooper Lake. The trailhead is at the north end of the Lake.Trail Description
This fairly easy hike leads to a lake under the craggy mountains of Washington's Cascades. More hiking trails lead from the lake to other destinations such as Spectacle Lake and Lemah Meadows.
Comments
This hike is perfect for either an overnight or day hike experience. It is best on a clear and warm day allowing the snow kissed mountains to be really seen. The hike itself is rather easy with only a few ups and downs, but what it lacks in strenuous labor it makes up for in scenery.
