Trailhead located at the Henry Rierson Spruce Run Campground in Clatsop County, located 5 miles south of Highway 26 near milepost 20, along the Nehalem River on Lower Nehalem River Road.Trail Description
This is a moderate hiking trail from Henry Rierson Spruce Run Campground to Spruce Run Lake, trail is 2.4 miles one way. The first ¾ mile of the trails hugs Spruce Run Creek and is fairly level. The next 1 mile is where you gain most of the elevation. At the end of the trail you will find Spruce Run Lake, or pond is more like it. At the West end of the lake the creek has a waterfall and then continues on down into a steep ravine. The well shaded trail runs through some of beautiful scenery of the Clatsop State Forrest.
