205 to 224 East 15 miles past Estacada. Right on Fish Creek Road parking lot 3/4 mile on right. Trailhead opposite parking lot.Trail Description
In and back trail to The Narrows follows the Clackamas River. Watch people float the river as you climb and descend the river. At 3.6 mile reach the pretty Pup Creek Falls. At 5 miles reach The Narrows. A nice place for a break as you view the river in a very \"narrow\" section. Return the same way. Backpacking is possible on this trail as well

The Clackamas River Trail is a moderate level trail for all users. It is only 7.5 long and is best hiked with a 2nd vehicle, left at Indian Henry Campground. Trail is maintained by the USFS/ Mt. Hood National Forest located at the Clackamas River Ranger Station in Estacada OR. I am a regular volunteer with the FS and I regularly maintain this trail throughout the year.

CRT has all the ingredients for a beautiful outdoor experience: accessible river, lush forest canopy, rugged rock formations, and easy terrain. The only drawback is the highway is both visible and audible. Great destination for a day hike, but not ideal for backpacking.
