Winter Trails
Return to Message Board
Hey everyone, just wondering if anytrailsnw body has any good hikes that are accessible during the winter. I live in Seattle, so I'm mostly curious about hikes around there.
Did the Hoh River a few weeks back, definitely a good winter hike and I would recommend it if you can handle wet and cold conditions.
Check out some of the valleys in the Olympics. Most of them are at least mostly clear of snow during most of the year. Try the Elwha, Quinalt, Duckabush, or Hoh.
From what I hear, the Suiattle River, at least the lower portions of it may be accessible for a lot of the winter, but I would definitely contact the forest service to check on conditions
