I'm going to Wallowas mid August. Miniam to Blue, over to Glacier down to the Basin, off course Eagle Cap proper and out. Has anybody been in the basin area very recently? Are there any NEW restrictions given the lack of snow and this heat? Has the wildlife been moving lower? Any info would be appreciated. thank
The self issue permits are the same as ever so there shouldn't be any changes in restrictions. Pretty much everyplace you mentioned does not allow building fires, though. I hope you have a great hike! That sounds like an awesome, but strenuous one. The Wallowas always seem to remind me of how weak I am (and I always forget sunscreen - but that's not really relevant, is it?).
