Wallowa Mountain Glacier
Return to Message Board
This document was originally posted under the Glacier Lake Description, but figured it was an interesting topic, so I figured I should post it on the message board. The first image is of Glacier Mountain, in the Wallowas and it's glacier. The second pic is from the same spot, and shows the disappearance of the fairly massive glacier. Would have been interesting to see. The original document can be found at: http://www.fs.fed.us/pnw/pubs/gtr505/
Pretty interesting...I think its a shame that our current government isn't taking a stronger stance on global warming, and our contribution to it.
From what I can see the second picture does not hav a tree out on that little island, but the first picture (with the glacier) does.
In fact, all the trees in the second picture look smaller. So couldn't we conclude that the first picture is the most recent?
