I just started backpacking a couple of years ago and so far my life time favorite hike was to Glacier Lake in the Wallowas. What are some of your lifetime favorite trips?
High Divide in the Olympics was pretty amazing, although the weather can be pretty dicey.
One of my favorite trips (it's so hard to choose) would be McCall Basin. Part of what made it so great was that I did not have a good idea of what exactly the place would look like, and I found it even better than how I envisioned it.
