3 day hike

Some friends and I are driving from Iowa to the Northwest this summer and we'd like to do the best 3 day hike possible. Any suggestions for hikes or resources for finding the best but not the most crowded?
do you have a preference for scenery? (mountains, ocean, desert, etc...the northwest has it all!)
wow, thats a really, really tough question! Trails in the North Cascades are spectacular, and you can probably find some uncrowded areas. There are several really good books on hiking in the North Cascades which you should probably check out.
