Eric, If you like coastal hikes, the classic one in BC is the West Coast Trail. I haven't actually done it myself but I've heard lots of stories. It covers a stretch of coastline on the west shore of Vancouver Island. The scenery is supposed to be unparalleled as far as ocean walks are concerned. However, it is also known as the "Wet Coat Tail". Lots of "R" and mud are often the norm. Good luck!
