A Dog friendly 4-7 day trip in Early July?

My wife and I are fairly new to Oregon and looking for a great back packing trip to take in early July. We are considering the Timberline Trail, but realize it may not be open by then.

Do you have any trip recommendations that are dog friendly, 4-7 days, and likely doable in early July?

looking to go early June.  Any recommendations for eagle cap?

The best hiking in Oregon is Eagle Cap.  Plenty of trails, most should be open early July.  If the snow pack holds on late this year, look at the Northwestern and eastern areas of Eagle Cap.
