Hiking with kids

Hi everyone, I am new to the group and somewhat new to backpacking in the PNW. We have a 3 and 5 year old and want to get them backpacking this summer. Any suggestions that are within 2-3 hours drive from Portland, Oregon.
Indian Heaven Wilderness has a few nice short hikes, but the mosquitoes can be bad. Even some of the short trails that lead up to the meadows on Mt. Adams could be good.

Hello, welcome to the site.
I like Pamelia Lake, (Mt. Jefferson), Mirror Lake (Mt. Hood), or even just doing a short backpack along the Timberline Trail as kid-friendly hikes. Scenery for all of those are good, and the trails are in good shape and pretty easy.
