A good layer of snow and ice covers the ground and just stepping outside into the cold, swirling air takes my breath away.. With this renewed appreciation of the cold, I stumbled upon wyicked's account of his Presidential Traverse, which features him and his hiking partner battling freezing temperatures and blizzard conditions.
